Milledgeville and Baldwin County are centrally located in Georgia with convenient access to Interstates 20, 16 and 75. The county sits on U.S. Highway 441, a major north-south artery, and the Fall Line Freeway, a major east-west developmental highway, will soon pass within five miles of downtown Milledgeville. Northfolk Southern Railroad and CSX Railroad provide rail service to the area. More than 30 freight carrier truck lines serve the area. The county's municipal airport has a 1001 x 5,0001 runway. The airport offers air taxi service, aircraft sales and rentals, sightseeing, pilot services and flight instruction. Commercial air service is a short 31 miles away in Macon.
